2. Located close to the metropolitan area, easy access!

By taking "Tsukuba Express Rapid" from Tsukuba station, you can travel to Akihabara station in 45 minutes. From Mito station, "Joban Line Limited Express Hitachi" takes you to Tokyo station for as quick as 65 minutes.
To Tsukuba · Mito, you can easily arrive from Narita Airport and Haneda Airport by express bus, or, from Ibaraki International Airport, which has scheduled domestic and international flights.

Many Japanfs most representative sightseeing spots are located within the prefecture. "Kairakuen (Mito city)", "Fukuroda falls (Daigo Town)", "Mt. Tsukuba (Tsukuba city)", "Hitachi Seaside Park (Hitachinaka city)", "Ushiku Daibutsu (Ushiku city) ", etc. It is possible to arrange visits to about 50 locations of research institutes located in Tsukuba Science City.
